Provider and infrastructure research
If direct correspondence does not resolve the matter, Atlantic may consult lawfully available public and official infrastructure records to identify the provider, platform, network operator, intermediary or public reporting channel relevant to the next stage of the case.
How provider identity is verified
Before a provider is classified for case administration, infrastructure indicators are checked against the records and context available. Human review distinguishes hosting, intermediary, registrar, network and platform roles, and records the level of confidence behind the chosen course of action.
When a provider may be contacted
Once the case, rights-holder authority, URLs, preserved evidence, licence context and correspondence history have been reviewed and documented, Atlantic may prepare a targeted notice using the provider procedure that fits the verified information and jurisdiction.
Scope of a removal or restriction request
The request concerns only the specifically identified content, URL or file and is adapted to the provider’s applicable procedure, contract and legal framework. The provider reviews the supporting record and may ask for further information before deciding what action, if any, is appropriate.
Evidence and correction review
The website operator or any affected person may provide a licence, authorization, invoice, factual correction or other supporting material. Atlantic compares it with the preserved case record before continuing, correcting or closing the procedure involving the provider.
Traceability and control
Public-source records, confidence levels, validations, generated documents and dispatches are logged in the case file. Contact with a provider or platform remains a separate and traceable escalation step within the wider case history.
