Legal governance and transparency

Cookie and Local Storage Policy

What is stored on a device, which functions are essential and how preferences can be changed.

Version 2026.06.20.1Effective June 20, 2026

Important scope

This version adds a contributor rights-and-authority declaration, supporting-evidence workflow and signed personalized PDF. The framework remains a compliance and governance baseline; it does not certify ownership, guarantee universal legal compliance or replace advice from qualified counsel in the relevant jurisdiction.

Contents

  1. 1. Scope
  2. 2. Strictly necessary technologies
  3. 3. Preference storage
  4. 4. Analytics and marketing
  5. 5. Choices
  6. 6. Browser and global signals
  7. 7. Updates and inventory

1. Scope

This policy covers cookies, local storage and comparable browser technologies used by the public site, authenticated portal and secure case-response area.

2. Strictly necessary technologies

Session, security, language, CSRF, authentication and load-protection functions are strictly necessary to provide requested services and protect accounts. They cannot be disabled through the consent panel, although browser settings may block them and impair functionality.

3. Preference storage

The consent interface stores the selected categories in browser local storage so the choice can be remembered. This preference record stays on the device and can be reset using “Manage cookies” or browser controls.

4. Analytics and marketing

The current production baseline does not activate non-essential analytics or marketing tracking before consent. If such technology is introduced, it must remain blocked until the relevant consent, be listed by provider and purpose, and be revocable as easily as it was given.

5. Choices

Users may accept optional categories, reject them while keeping essential functions, or customize choices. Refusing optional technologies does not prevent ordinary access to the site, though a voluntarily enabled feature may depend on its specific technology.

6. Browser and global signals

Browser controls can delete or block storage. Where legally applicable to sale or sharing, recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control are treated as an opt-out signal; Atlantic does not sell personal information in the ordinary meaning of that term.

7. Updates and inventory

Technology inventories are reviewed when services change. The panel version and this policy date identify the applicable configuration; material additions require an updated disclosure and, where required, renewed consent.
